About Brooks
There is a moment many of us arrive at, often in the middle of success and rarely when expected. The credentials are in order. The business is working. And yet.
For me, that moment arrived more than once.
First, in the quiet of a Princeton dorm room when the world told me I had arrived. Then in the relentless pace of Deloitte, where ambition and misery occupied the same body. Then at Stanford, where an MBA program designed to sharpen futures left me staring into the unfamiliar territory of my own interior.
And then, finally and irreversibly, alone in the desert wilderness for four days, on a vision quest that brought me to my knees and opened me to something I had always sensed but never found.
The light I saw in the canyon lands of Southern Utah was guidance. Real guidance.

I was born into a family of extraordinary lineage: conservation pioneers, diplomats, educators, entrepreneurs. My father, a Rhodes scholar and financier who became a celebrated novelist, was the first shadow I ever tried to step out of, and the first map I eventually had to draw beyond. My mother carried the DNA of builders of institutions, stewards of land, believers in the long arc of impact.
I have spent years understanding what it means to carry a lineage like that. Not just the drive to be worthy of it, but the deeper and more demanding work: to actually transform it. The goal is not only to honor the ancestors. It is to uplift the entire line, forward and back, by living with greater integrity, greater consciousness, and greater joy than the generation before.
I grew up in Colorado, in the mountains, in a family that played piano together and told stories and had no television. I learned early that the unseen world, of nature, of narrative, of inner knowing, was more real than most people admitted.
Following my initiation in the desert, I threw myself into the deep ecology of soul work and the lifelong craft of transformational leadership. I began my coaching journey as a facilitator with Leaders In Tech, a nonprofit holding some of the most influential names in Silicon Valley. I facilitated Interpersonal Dynamics at Stanford Graduate School of Business, the iconic course known to have changed lives for over 45 years. I trained with some of the best coaches in the world, including Jim Dethmer and Diana Chapman of the Conscious Leadership Group.
Over more than a decade, I have coached hundreds of leaders, including top-tier founders, investors, and CEOs of companies with market values reaching into the hundreds of millions. I have learned to guide others into the landscapes, literal and interior, where transformation becomes unavoidable.
Today, I work at the intersection I was born into: material mastery and soulful presence, executive intelligence and inner truth, the ambition to change the world and the willingness to be changed by it first.
I live in Carbondale, Colorado, with my wife Ashley and our two young daughters. I am connected to the land, to my community, to the lineages I carry, and to the people I accompany across the threshold.

Soulful Impact exists because I needed it and it did not exist yet.
I spent years in the traditional success track. I checked every box. I built the resume. And the whole time, something underneath was screaming that none of this was actually mine.
It took a vision quest in the Utah desert to finally hear it. Four days alone with nothing.
The light I saw there was real. The clearest thing I had ever experienced.
Since then, I have spent more than a decade learning how to integrate that clarity with the world I came from. How to hold inner truth and executive intelligence in the same body. How to guide others through the crossing I had to make myself.
This is work for people who are crossing a threshold and need a guide who has been through that journey themselves.
This is territory that requires someone who knows what a cap table is and what a vision quest is. Someone who carries both worlds.
